51 Male needing colonoscopy that has CPT 2
Sorry I did not specify that they are having me drink clear liquids such as apple juice or no pulp orange juice up until 4 hours before my procedure. Do you think I will be ok since that would be similar to being admitted and given a glucose IV? Thanks again appreciate the insight.

Most likely taking sugar containing fluids up to 4 hours before your procedure should be fine. They can start an IV with glucose when you arrive. You should alert your metabolic team to the procedure so that can be available if needed. Hope this helps. Dr. Vockley
